I feel really privileged and fortunate to have a job that I absolutely love and enables me to feed my creativity.
I have been a photographer for over 18 years, beginning with local Newspapers before moving onto a family portrait business. Whilst in London I then became a freelancer covering commercial photography for the likes of Marks and Spencers, Mcdonnald’s and big advertising agencies such as Rainey Kelly and Mcann Erikson.
The highlight of my career was being aked to photograph the Queen whilst on her Jubliee Tour through Exeter, as an official photographer on the Royal Rota.
As with lots of wedding photographers I was asked to photograph a friends wedding with no real intention of making it a profession. Although being petrified, everything went really well and I really loved the freedom I had to express my own documentation of the wedding day, much preferring it to the more corporate work I had been doing, and helping to record such a happy special occasion. I still get a huge buzz from every wedding I photograph.
I have now been photographing weddings for over 7 years with over 200 weddings covered.
I am married to my beautiful wife Alex and we have 2 wonderful children, Isabel 8 and Tomas 5. They are of course the most important things in my life and I love them all dearly.
We moved from London 4 years ago now and live in Exeter, Devon, the bravest and craziest thing we had done in a long time, not knowing the city or anybody here. Safe to say, it has been a very rewarding move and I just love living near the sea in such a beautiful part of the world.
I also love food and have a huge passion for cooking. If I wasn’t a photographer I’m sure I would be involved with food. I love travelling and have embarked on 3 round the world trips. I have lived in New Zealand for a year and continue to enjoy travels with the family, all be it not for quite such long periods.
Above all though, I love photography and being a wedding photographer.
