I’m really happy to blog this wedding for a couple of reasons, firstly and most importantly I love this place! Since moving down here from London I’ve been lucky enough to visit some amazing venues, but this has to be one of my favourite. There’s no venue as such and wedding receptions take place in a marquee, but it’s all about the views and location, which is simply breathtaking, overlooking the River Dart in the beautiful village of Dittisham. So you have the option to arrive by boat, it must almost be the opposite of shooting a wedding at Claridges, but of course can’t knock experiences like that! I’ve had 2 weddings here and can’t wait to return again.
I have so many Brides and Grooms who come to me and say they don’t like having their photo taken, it’s a very familiar story and exactly what Lisa and John said to me. I guess my style really suits people who do have reservations and I really try and help people to relax and enjoy the day for what it is, ignoring me as much as possible.
I personally think they look like a beautiful couple and certainly had nothing to worry about. Hope you enjoy a little summer warmth as it starts to get pretty cold now.
