Pre-Wedding Photoshoot Cornwall- Grace & Marc

Pre-Wedding Photoshoot Cornwall- Grace & Marc

I completely loved being the photographer for Grace and Marc’s pre-wedding photoshoot in Cornwall. They had got in touch with me from Hong Kong after finding me on Fearless Photographers. They had planned to come over to Cornwall in the summer for a holiday and to have a pre-wedding photoshoot in preparation for their wedding next January back in Hong Kong.

“Thank you so much for the shoot today, it was absolutely amazing, especially when we were at the beach, we loved having those fun moments with you.

Will!!!!! I love these!!!! Big thanks to you Will! We are so glad to have found you. Shooting in such gloomy weather, you worked magic on our shots at the beach and the tin mines. Looking through the photos felt like we were reliving that afternoon again…

Crazily beautiful photos, we love them all! Sooooo glad we had you doing this with us.❤️xxx”

It was such an absolute pleasure to share the day with them and wish we could do it all over again. Grace and Marc are such a happy, fun and adventurous couple and she had mentioned she can be a bit crazy so nothing was off-limits! I hadn’t planned on them getting quite so wet during the beach trip, oops, but we all laughed so hard throughout the day and I left Cornwall for my drive back to Exeter with a heart filled with love and happiness.

Beautiful Cornwall

Grace and Marc had previously lived in the UK a few years ago and it was during that time that they had discovered Cornwall and fallen in love with it. The main plan was to visit Minack Theatre in Porthcurno and to plan a little itinerary around that to take in some beautiful scenery, some wooded area, a beach and fingers crossed, a sunset. Grace had also mentioned she loved Alpacas and would love to try and get some shots with some. I was super happy to help them arrange everything and planned a trip with me driving them around Lands End visiting a few different locations.

We started off at the farm that they were staying at with Alpacas which we attempted to feed. Afterwards, we found a little wooded area where we had a little mooch to capture some greenery with the lovely afternoon dappled light.

Beach shots

After a quick visit to a rather busy Minack Theatre, it was time to escape to something more remote and adventurous. The fog had started to close in over Lands End which can often happen but it was creating some lovely atmospheric light and we headed out to find a beach and ended up at Gwynver Beach, just along from Sennen Cove. I always love a trip to the beach and Grace and Marc were so relaxed with shoes straight off so that we could have a little paddle in the sea. We didn’t quite anticipate that they would get quite so wet as they did but the sea was on its way in and the waves pretty big and they got slightly soaked whilst standing on a rock- we quickly abandoned that idea as I didn’t want to be the photographer appearing in the paper who lost his couple to the sea during a photoshoot! The light was beginning to create some magic for us as we left the beach with this tiny gorgeous slither of glow appearing on the horizon.

Sunset on clifftop

We then struck gold with the most beautiful sundown at the tin mines at Botallack which was our last and final destination. Part of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, this is also a filming location for the hit series Poldark. A gap opened up in the cloud and the mist lifted to give us a wonderful sunset surrounded by these stunning old tin mines from times passed looking out over the wild Atlantic Ocean.

A perfect end to the most amazing day.

Here’s a little selection of some of my favourites from the afternoon that I spent with them which I really hope you enjoy…
