It’s been a rather busy Summer to say the least and still have another 4 Saturdays back to back before a little breather and then a few December weddings. Alas, with all good intentions, I have let the blog posts slip a little, but will try and post lots of weddings over the coming months starting off with this wonderful wedding which I photographed last month at Lains Barn and The Oxford Belfrey. I did preview 10 shots from this a few weeks back and now really excited to post a much more detailed look into Minne and Rob’s day.
This was the first time I had experienced Turkish Cypriot Wedding traditions, I have covered lots of Indian weddings before as well as African, Polish and Italian weddings, but not a Turkish Cypriot one. I really love photographing weddings that are a little different and I always find there is so much energy, love and laughter during these weddings and of course so many moments and emotions to capture.
Minne, who looked stunning, and Rob, looking very dapper, had a civil ceremony followed by a beautiful religious blessing at the lovely Lains Barn. A quick hop into the field for some portraits of the 2 of them before meeting up with all the guests again at The Oxford Belfrey. Some great speeches, followed by some wonderful traditional dances and money pinning, before ending on a first dance and disco.
Huge congratulations again to the very happy couple and hope you enjoy having a look into their day…
