Cary Arms Wedding, Devon Photographer – Helen & Stu

This was my first visit as a wedding photographer to the beautiful Cary Arms in Babbacombe, Devon. What a wonderful place to get married and we hit bullseye again with the weather with lots of sunshine after a Friday full of rain!

It’s always really lovely to photograph somebody you know, although it’s been a few years since I’d seen Stu as I used to go to primary school with him. Stu and Helen had really wanted to get married down in Devon and chose a beautiful location at Cary Arms. Although I’d heard great things about the venue, mainly their gorgeous food, I hadn’t yet photographed a wedding there. I fully recommend paying it a visit!

Through the wonders of Facebook Stu saw that I was a wedding photographer and now living in Exeter. We all met up on their next visit to the venue and after a quick catch up over a pint, plans were all set for me to photograph their big day.

I really love photographing weddings by the sea and the photo opportunities that they can hold. Helen and Stu braved a quick paddle in the sea and were up for a little mooch over the rocks, after a lovely afternoon tea spread. Back for some great speeches before all tasting the gorgeous evening meal.

It was a real pleasure to share their wedding with them both, their lovely families and all their friends.

Here’s a little look at a few of my favourites from Saturday…

If you are marrying at Cary Arms, please contact me to see if I’m available still for your date.

A good place to start to see a gallery of my work is my highlights from last year here.
