A very happy New Year to you all. I wish all a joyful and successful year ahead.
I thought I’d take a quick look back at the year just gone and share with you some of my highlights from 2011.
Front Cover– The year started with my first magazine front cover with Your London Wedding Magazine, a ‘real wedding’ of the lovely Liz and Tom that I shot at The Mary Le Strand and The RSA House, with an editorial inside. The wedding took place on a beautiful sunny Winter’s day which made the light just perfect. This shot was taken just outside the RSA and I was over the moon that it was used for the front of the magazine.
Claridges Wedding– Off the back of the front cover, New Yorker Alicia spotted my work and got in touch. She was to marry Aubery, a Londoner, at the stunning Claridges which took place in August. They were moving back to London and wanted to begin life together in the city in one of the best hotels in the world. I was very excited to be shooting a wedding at this most prestigious of venues! Look out for the Michael Jackson impersonator- fab hey!
The Bingham Hotel– This has to go down as one of my highlights of 2011 as my work was featured in their Wedding Brochure and from that I was welcomed onto their list of recommended suppliers. From this recommendation I have been fortunate enough to have photographed 8 weddings there last year, by far the most of any of my other venue recommendations. I’m thrilled to be on their list and certainly plan to keep up a very good working relationship that is well established now. It is a stunning venue that backs on to the River Thames in Richmond and to top it off, you get to eat some Michelin Star food during the work day, mmm, a tough job some might say! Here follows some of my favourite shots from the last year whilst shooting there.
