Small Intimate Weddings at Bovey Castle
There’s something very special about photographing a small intimate wedding, surrounded only by a couple’s very closest family and friends and I love documenting these very private celebrations. I’m very happy to be a preferred and recommended photographer for Bovey Castle and I’m super lucky to be able to cover a good handful of these intimate weddings there each year having covered over 50.
Intimate Ceremony
You can choose to have your intimate ceremony in the Adam Room where I always love to photograph. It has beautiful big, grand windows which give the most amazing light for photography. Alternatively if there are only a few of you, you can choose the Library which is a smaller room but equally as lovely with views out over the beautiful grounds. Lastly, you can opt for an outdoor ceremony down at The Summer House nestled int he most beautiful gardens.
Despite the grand size of this luxury 5-star hotel in Devon, it is an amazing venue to host a small ceremony and it attracts many couples each year, especially from overseas. The Adam room, Library or Summer House are beautiful spaces that provide the perfect place to say I do and I have documented weddings in all of these settings.
Stunning Landscaped Gardens
Nestled in the Dartmoor National Park, Bovey Castle is surrounded by the most idyllic countryside. After some champagne and canapes, you can mooch off on a golf buggy around the estate for some relaxed and fun portraits of just the two of you. I love the stunning gardens at Bovey Castle, especially during the summer months when so much is in bloom and it’s always a great time to capture the beautiful colours.
Afterwards you can enjoy a private wedding breakfast in the Mulberry Room or Bovey Room to sample the delicious food that Bovey Castle serves up.
