Deer Park Wedding Photographer- Jess & Will
I always love photographing weddings at Deer Park in Devon, where I’m very happy to be a preferred and recommended photographer. I’ve been photographing weddings here for 6 years now and it’s a wonderful place to have your wedding.
I’m super excited to show some photographs from Jess and Will’s wedding that took place last Summer on a scorcher of a day. I love nothing more than a beautiful warm bright blue-skied day for a wedding and although I can’t quite guarantee that, I do have pretty good luck.
Couples don’t come much more relaxed than Jess and Will and it was an absolute pleasure to share and document their day for them. They are such a happy and warm couple and I can’t remember many brides who laugh as much as Jess, they are both completely lovely. Their wedding day was pure fun from start to finish and I loved being a part of it.
Beautiful Wedding Venue in East Devon
The Deer Park is always a special place for me and I was honoured and privileged a few years ago to photograph the General Manager’s wedding here when John married the Events Manager, Georgie and held their celebrations at Deer Park. I’ve seen some amazing additions to this venue over the years, in particular, the stunning Georgian orangery where most couples will enjoy their wedding reception, as well as the romantic thatched tree house, which is perched amongst ancient oak trees and a perfect place for the bride and groom to stay on their wedding evening. I know they will continue to add more and make this venue even more impressive and I can’t wait to see what’s inline next.
Outdoor Ceremony
Jess and Will held their ceremony outside at the summer house. I always love an outdoor ceremony, especially when you get exactly what you were hoping for with a beautiful sunny day. I simply adore the walk up to the summer house that a bride has here, walking through the beautiful greenery and trees. I captured one of my favourite shots of the day here with Jess and her Dad (in shades) and some gorgeous dappled light with the bridesmaids leading the way.
Having grown up and spent part of her childhood in New Zealand and Australia, Jess had family and friends travel in from down under to enjoy and celebrate the day, which was really special and great for them to see what a proper English summer day looks like.
After a lovely ceremony, it was then back to the gardens for drinks on the lawn via a wisteria arched confetti run. It was such a scorcher of a day most guests were then seeking the shade of the trees trying to keep cool with beers and bubbles.
Stunning Georgian Orangery
We did a few portraits around the beautiful grounds with a bit of bench swing action, before settling in for a delicious dinner in the stunning orangery. Some crazy funny speeches followed before we met with the most beautiful sundown and time for a quick mooch out into the gardens and adjoining field, chasing the sun for some more portraits of Jess and Will. It was then back in to cut/stab the cake before dancing and partying into the night.
Super Relaxed Fun Wedding
What a super relaxed and fun wedding this was and what a lovely couple Jess and Will are. They made me laugh hard and I left feeling full of happiness and love.
Here are a few of my faves from their day, do get in touch if you are planning on having your wedding at Deer Park, or anywhere else for that matter, I would love to help and chat through your plans.
