A little look back at 2014…. Devon Wedding Photographer

Wow, what a year 2014 has been. I’ve visited some beautiful venues and met some wonderful people and feel so privileged and happy that I am able to do something that I love. I’ve had some amazing moments and experiences, laughed so hard it hurt and had a little tear in my eye as I soak up all the emotions that make a wedding a wedding.

The year kicked off with Diane and Rob at the Deer Park in Devon and this was my most visited venue of the year shooting 6 weddings there in total. That was followed by Poppy and Hugh who surely got married in the best located Church ever, St Petrox, which sits on the mouth of the River Dart in Dartmouth, amazing light that day. I’ve loved visiting Buckland Tout Saints this year and especially enjoyed Julia and Dave’s wedding with an outdoor ceremony followed by a trip for all the guests down to the lovely Bantham Beach as the sun set on a beautiful Summer’s day. I was tempted to join everyone in the sea for a quick dip but not sure the camera would have appreciated it! I was awestruck by the sheer presence of Brompton Oratory for Mary and Jan’s wedding in London and laughed so much later in the evening for the Polish verses Ghanian dance off! Still not sure who won that, too close to call… I love Dartington Hall and Beth and Marcus’s wedding was definitely a little different with some very funky little touches, including the first wedding to take take place in the little independent cinema within the grounds of Dartington. Bovey Castle is always an amazing venue to visit and Noella and Joe’s wedding there in October was full of emotion and laughter and we were blessed with some wonderful Autumn light. I really loved photographing Minne and Rob’s wedding in Oxford, my first wedding covering some beautiful Turkish Cypriot traditions and some great dancing! I still have one wedding left on the 29th at Horn of Plenty and know this will be a very special wedding too.

So a huge thank you to all my wonderful couples throughout 2014, I have loved being able to capture and share your very special day with you and feel so lucky that I am able to do what I do, thank you.

Really looking forward to another busy year in 2015 with the Summer nearly all booked up already and can’t wait to photograph all the weddings that are to come.

Here’s a look back at the year with a selection of around 100 photographs of some of my favourite moments from 2014…

Hope you’ve enjoyed looking through these, please feel free to comment beneath, like and share.

Many thanks and a Merry Christmas to all.
